The Detroit Pistons’ latest acquisition in Blake Griffin is still getting accustomed to his new surroundings and teammates. On Saturday, Anthony Tolliver showed him how a posterization is done, Detroit-style.
Griffin’s jaw dropped to the floor upon seeing Tolliver posterize, not just one, but two Miami Heat players on his way to the basket. In fact, if you look at the play more closely, you could say there were three of them. The moment was captured beautifully by Bleacher Report and was posted on their official Twitter account.

A stunned Griffin was on the bench watching Tolliver do what the All-Star forward normally does to his opponents. As someone who is famous for putting other players such as Timofey Mozgov and Kendrick Perkins on his own personal posters, Griffin knows how to appreciate a good slam over another player.

His former teammate from the Clippers, DeAndre Jordan, is one of the NBA’s most powerful dunkers as the two were recipients of alley-oops on a nightly basis. That’s how they put Lob City on the NBA map.
Perhaps Griffin was reminded of Jordan’s dunkathon’s in L.A. when Tolliver made his move on the hapless Heat squad.
To add insult to injury, the Heat succumbed to the Pistons 111-107 for Griffin’s second straight win in his first two appearances for his new ballclub.
Unlike his first game for the Pistons, Griffin struggled in this one, scoring only 16 points on 6-of-19 shooting from the field. He added nine rebounds and seven assists to help facilitate the win.
