Damian Lillard is coming off the best statistical season of his career, but during the last couple of years, he has been outside the bubble of a star-studded Western Conference All-Star Team.
During an appearance in NBA 2K18's “Run The Neighborhood” event, the host of a Q&A show asked the crowd if they knew how many times Lillard had been an All-Star throughout his five-year career.
One lucky winner was picked by Lillard, who even named the years (2014 and 2015) in which he was picked for the mid-February classic. As he came forward to claim his prize, Lillard made sure to bring up his snubs in the past two seasons.

Lillard put up a career-high 27 points per game last season, including 5.9 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 0.9 steals — but his efforts didn't prove enough to crack the roster with guards like Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson garnering the four backcourt spots.
The Oakland native has been sore about this issue multiple times, and it can very well happen another time as the West has once again reloaded with even stronger rosters for this upcoming season, making it much tougher to finish as one of the top four chosen to be part of All-Star Sunday.
