Enes Kanter has been playing great since being acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers a couple of months ago.

In the team's victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs, the Turkish big man averaged 13.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He also provided the necessary post presence the Blazers need in the absence of starting center Jusuf Nurkic, who is recovering from a season-ending leg injury.

Kanter man is enjoying the Blazers' run to the playoffs, but it is worth noting that he will become a free agent after this season. Kanter was recently asked by Blazers beat reporter Casey Holdahl regarding his upcoming free agency decision, but he said he's not thinking about it right now, as his focus is entirely in the postseason.

“You don't think about your contract, you don't think about how much money you're going to get, you don't think about where you're going to sign or re-sign,” Kanter said. “I think the only thing you need to do is just go out there and do whatever it takes to get a win.”

It is unclear if the Blazers will re-sign Enes Kanter this summer, but the eight-year veteran sure seems to be enjoying his stay with the team. Whether this is a short-term deal or not, both sides are surely making the most out of the situation.

The Blazers are now in the second round of the playoffs, and they will face the winner of the Denver Nuggets-San Antonio Spurs series.
