Despite having to watch his team from the sidelines on Wednesday when they took on the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic was still able to grab headlines due to a rather comical message he had on his shirt.
Nurkic, who has some history with one of the Nuggets' broadcast commentators, decided to relive that ugly moment from last season:
Nurk's troll game continues here in Denver, as he appears to be wearing a "kick him in the shin" shirt. For those who don't recall, Denver announcer said that on radio broadcast during playoffs last season. #RipCity pic.twitter.com/RTndB1vVDR

Last season, the Blazers and Nuggets took part in an epic seven-game series in the Western Conference Semifinals. The battle got so heated that at one point, Nuggets radio analyst Scott Hastings suggested that it would be a good idea to kick Nurkic in the shin because of his actions on the bench:

"Kick him in the shin."
Denver Nuggets radio analyst Scott Hastings says in reference to @bosnianbeast27 "playing tough guy" on the #Blazers bench.

Regardless if Hastings was serious or not, purposely injuring a competitor certainly has no place in the NBA, or in any type of sport for that matter. Also, remember that Nurkic was already out of action at that point after suffering a gruesome leg injury late in the regular season.
Nurkic does not appear to have forgotten about that unsavory comment, and made sure the general public would be reminded of the same on Wednesday. Unfortunately for him and the Blazers, they ended up losing to a surging Nuggets side, 114-99.
To add more spice to this narrative, it is also worth noting that Nurkic spent the first two and a half seasons of his career with Denver prior to being traded to Portland in the middle of the 2016-17 campaign. There appears to be no bad blood between Nurkic and his former team, but the same cannot be said about his feelings towards one particular Nuggets comentator.
