Carmelo Anthony has been the feel-good story of the season. Fans have been more than welcoming about his return to the NBA, and the Portland Trail Blazers fans have showered the forward with all the love in the world.
Melo made his debut at the Rose Garden tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the fans greeted him with all the cheers he deserves.

It's a warm greeting for the Blazers, and it's heart-warming to see Melo being welcomed like this for the older NBA fan. However, their cheers don't just come from a place of adoration.
The Blazers have been struggling to win games as Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum's efforts aren't enough to survive in the tough Western Conference. They hope that Anthony will play like Hoodie Melo and help the team win.
So far, Melo has been an impactful player for the Blazers. Through four games, he's getting averages of 16.0 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.8 assists on 39.1% shooting. These numbers should improve a bit as Anthony gets more used to the Blazers system.
