Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum had a jaw-dropping first half against the Golden State Warriors, pouring in 27 points in 11-of-15 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 from deep, keeping his team knotted at 56 at the half.
His 27 points in a half tie the team's playoff record high, previously set by LaMarcus Aldridge.

McCollum and his backcourt mate Damian Lillard (21 points) have combined for 48 of Portland's 56 points at the half (85.7 percent), while making 18 of the team's 20 field goals in the game (90 percent). The 6-foot-3 sniper made 8-of-11 contested shots in his first 18 minutes on the floor.
The Lehigh product already has the two highest scoring outputs in a half against the Warriors, but will need more of the same during the next half in order to keep his team afloat in the absence of center Jusuf Nurkic.
