With all the traveling and work NBA players put in throughout an 82-game season, finding time to have fun with teammates is also important, too. On the most recent episode of the Toronto Raptors' YouTube series “Open Gym,” some of the players went out for a night to play some E6Golf simulator.
A few members of the Raptors took a hack at it, including point guard Kyle Lowry, shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, center Jonas Valanciunas, power forward Pascal Siakam and center Jakob Poeltl.
“It's challenging. It's something that's physically not as demanding but mentally more demanding than basketball,” Lowry said. “I really enjoy watching golf and really enjoy playing it.”
DeRozan, who clearly does not have a good of a swing as Lowry does on video, still kept poking fun at his teammate's golf game.
“His knowledge of the game is tremendous, but Kyle is terrible. He's terrible,” DeRozan said of Lowry's golf game. “I hope ya'll can go to a course and film 18 holes of him of him playing and the reality of it will come out. He definitely do practice it, but he sucks.”
Regardless of what DeRozan says, Lowry is an avid golfer during his time off the basketball court and was featured in a video with NBA Inside Stuff.

DeRozan joked that Lowry wants to resemble another star NBA player in Steph Curry on the links, but in reality, he is more like NBA legend Charles Barkley in that department.
“I think he want to be Steph Curry on the golf course so bad, but he not. He more like Charles Barkley,” DeRozan said of Lowry's golf game.
A quick clip was also posted to the Toronto Raptors' official Twitter account of the hilarious exchange between Lowry and DeRozan.

The Raptors have not played since Friday night's 120-115 victory over the Indiana Pacers and have an off day Monday, as well. Toronto, in search of their fourth straight victory, will host the struggling Phoenix Suns (8-16) on Tuesday night at Air Canada Centre.
