San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has notoriously never been a fan of sideline interviews during nationally televised games.
Things have not changed for the longest-tenured coach in the league, once again giving a classic fourth-quarter interview to TNT sideline reporter Allie LaForce.
Pop only needed five words to answer the first question, providing short sentences to the second question as well.
Article Continues Below—LaForce: “Coach, what did you do defensively in that high ball screen to take James [Harden] out of quarter the way you did?”
—Popovich: “We did a better job.”
—LaForce: “What's gonna give you the edge in this fourth quarter?”
—Popovich: “Lots of things. It's a game of mistakes, it's a game of playing well, who knows?”
Popovich is a damn legend 😂 https://t.co/7JQyVvqULB

LaForce, though new in her role on TNT, is a veteran reporter — but she's just starting to get the taste of what the late Craig Sager had to endure during many interviews in his career.
Pop was way too busy figuring out what to do to keep the Rockets from making open threes, going toe-to-toe with them thanks to a versatile effort by Kawhi Leonard, a sharp game from Patty Mills, and the seeming fountain of youth from Manu Ginobili.
