With the success of their sophomore season already officially in the books, BIG3 commissioner Clyde Drexler has declared the league's intention to acquire the services of San Antonio Spurs veteran Manu Ginobili should the latter decide to retire from the NBA.
Spurs insider Jeff Garcia recently broke the news on Twitter, and confirmed that Hall of Famer Drexler intends to “stalk” Ginobili if the 6-foot-6 shooting guard opts to call it quits on his NBA career.
At 41 years of age and with 16 seasons under his belt, talk of Ginobili's retirement have become more prevalent in recent months. The summer departure of Tony Parker, a co-member of the Spurs' original Big 3 along with Tim Duncan and Ginobili, has added more fuel to the flame.

Ginobili's brother has also said that the four-time NBA champion intends to make a decision on his future within the next few days. Surely, Drexler and the rest of the BIG3 are avidly waiting on this.
Ginobili has had a remarkable career in the NBA, spending all 16 years with the Spurs franchise. Aside from winning the championship on four separate occasions — including three times in five seasons between 2003 (Ginobili's rookie year) and 2007 — the Argentinean also bagged the 2007-08 Sixth Man of the Year award, is a two-time All-NBA team member, and has been voted to the All-Star Team twice.
Ginobili has been a steady force for the Spurs. He has career averages of 13.3 points on 44.7% shooting, 1.4 three-pointers, 3.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals in 25.4 minutes per contest.
