Philadelphia 76ers second-year combo guard Markelle Fultz is meeting with shoulder specialists multiple times this week in New York, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Fultz won’t participate in full practices or games until the specialist has had the opportunity to evaluate him. In 19 games this season, Fultz is averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 56.8 percent from the free-throw line.
An update on Fultz's situation will likely be provided later this week:

Markelle Fultz would prefer a fresh start with a new team, according to a report from The Athletic. The former No. 1 overall pick has been playing with an apparent injury in his right wrist area that has adversely affected his ability to shoot. Fultz’s shoulder injury is still apparent, although people in the Sixers’ organization believe all of his issues are mental and not physical.
Markelle Fultz has not requested a trade, but the Sixers are considering trading Fultz because the franchise is tired of this saga that began last season. Fultz really doesn’t have any trade value right now. Maybe the Sixers can get a second-round pick for him if they decide to move him, but even that’s a stretch considering how bad his shot looks right now.
