Despite not landing at his desired destination, Paul George has made considerable progress in his playing situation than he has in the last few years with the Indiana Pacers.
The All-Star forward has yet to suit up for the Oklahoma City Thunder after being traded for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis prior to the start of free agency, soon finding out the lengths to which this organization is willing to go to make this team a winner.
The 6-foot-9 wing talked about his thought process after the postseason and how it all played out after being traded to OKC.

“From my understanding, in my mind of playing for one organization, I'm thinking, ‘Ok, this is Indiana. This is a small market, and guys have opportunities to play in bigger markets (like) LA, Miami, New York, Dallas, or Houston,” George said in an interview in the A to Z podcast of USA TODAY Sports. “Bigger markets, (like), the Warriors. So from my understanding, it was like, ‘It'd be hard to build a team with multiple superstars,’ (but in his) first year I get here, we already have three superstars on the team. It just goes to show what's possible with different organizations.”
The Thunder not only nailed his trade, pulling the rug from underneath the favorite Los Angeles Lakers, but also acquired perennial scorer Carmelo Anthony this past weekend, creating a three-headed monster that can now match the firepower of the reigning champions.
George has come into a winning equation without the need of orchestrating it, a sign that can keep the Palmdale native in Oklahoma City if the team proves to have that grand potential.
