The season of underachieving rolls on when it comes to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who lost their third game in a row to fall to 8-12.
On Wednesday night at Amway Center, the Thunder could not get it together when they fell 121-108 to the Orlando Magic in a game that was there for the taking. After the contest, Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook put most of the blame on himself, via Erik Horne of The Oklahoman.
“It's just urgency, man. That starts with me, man. It's my responsibility that we're ready to play on both sides of the ball to get us out of this funk. We've got to lock in and I'll take all the s*** for everything that's going on because I've been here,” Westbrook said after Wednesday night's loss. “It starts with me and we’re gonna turn this thing around.”
On the night, Westbrook managed to put up brilliant numbers. In 38 minutes of action, Westbrook went off for a game-high 37 points (11-of-23 from the field and 7-of-10 shooting from behind the arc) to go along with 11 rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan also chimed in on the team's recent misfortunes, citing a lackluster second half against the Magic.
“When the ball moves and you generate assists, you're going to shoot a relatively high percentage,” coach Donovan said. “I thought in the second half we weren't really able to do that consistently.”
The Thunder, who were expected to compete with the Golden State Warriors with their own star-studded lineup, have now lost five of their last six games.
