After 30 games, the Oklahoma City Thunder's 2017-18 season continues to be a rollercoaster of many ups and downs along the way. According to an article published this morning by Ken Berger of Bleacher Report, Thunder star forward Paul George is still committed to Oklahoma City and isn't sweating the team's 15-15 record.

“With the talent we have, we don't want to just be getting by. We want to start building towards being a dominant team,” George said. “We're still figuring it out.”

The talented but underachieving Thunder, who currently would make the playoffs as the Western Conference's No. 8 seed, would be matched up against the white-hot Houston Rockets in the first round. Last night, the Thunder came from behind in the fourth quarter and edged the Denver Nuggets 95-94 to get back to .500 on the year.

However, a Western Conference executive who spoke to Berger and Bleacher Report recently was very critical of the Thunder's season so far and thinks their team chemistry is far from where it needs to be.

“It's a three-man circus,” the unnamed executive said. “They don't play well together. There's no ball movement, no chemistry. You can tell by watching them play, it's out of sync. There's no rhyme or rhythm to how they play.”

The executive went on to mention George by name and thinks the four-time NBA All-Star isn't happy with playing second fiddle.

“George has got to be frustrated,” the executive said. “You can tell by the way he's playing. He's not playing with any enthusiasm, not playing with any spunk. He's kind of playing like a second or third wheel out there.”

Will George even be around next year in Oklahoma City? At this rate, who knows, but he wants to try as hard as he can to make things work with the Thunder.

“Well, I think this is a different scenario because it's our only year together as far as we're on one-year contracts,” George told Bleacher Report. “I want to put everything into this and see where that takes us. I'm not giving up; I'm not giving in. I want to give this thing everything I have and we'll see where it goes.”

In 28 starts so far this season, George is currently the team's second-leading scorer at 19.9 points per game in a team-high 37.2 minutes of action per contest. The Thunder will have a golden opportunity to string some wins together before 2018 comes around, as six of the team's next seven games will be at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
