Due to ongoing back pain, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry is now listed as “doubtful” for Tuesday night's road game against the Sixers, according to a report from Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.

Lowry, who sat out of Saturday's 121-103 victory over the L.A. Clippers, did not participate in Monday morning's practice session. The former Villanova Wildcat has been dealing with back issues for quite a while. In fact, he underwent pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory injections back in January.

Without a doubt, Lowry is an important piece of Toronto's rotation. He's made 42 appearances with the team this season (all starts), racking up averages of 14.1 points on 40.9 percent shooting from the field (31.9 percent from beyond the arc), 9.2 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals inn 34.3 minutes per outing.

With Lowry ruled out for Tuesday's game, Fred VanVleet will likely see an uptick in his usage rate. VanVleet logged 26 minutes in Saturday's game, scoring nine points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field (1-of-4 from downtown), seven assists, five rebounds and three steals.

In other Raptors-related injury news, Jonas Valanciunas is expected to make his return at some point this week. The seven-footer has been dealing with a thumb injury for several weeks.

Tuesday night's Raptors-Sixers game is scheduled to tip inside the Wells Fargo Center at 8:00 p.m. ET.
