The Toronto Raptors are off to a strong start this season, and Kyle Lowry has much to do with it, setting a franchise record along the way.

As reported by Yahoo Sports Canada, Lowry has set a franchise record with eight straight games of more than 10 assists.

Kyle Lowry completed the feat in their 121-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers where he filled the stat sheet with 21 points, 15 assists, and six rebounds. To start off the season, the Raptors are 9-1 and are currently riding a three-game winning streak.

Lowry's streak started off in their third game of the season against the Washington Wizards. Since then, Lowry made it a point to involve his teammates in every play. And early into the season, he's the league leader in assists with 11.2 per game.

Lowry's passing game is a big element of the Raptors' success in this young season. Despite the big changes over the summer, the franchise is still considered one of the top teams in the league.

Unknown to many, Kyle Lowry's passing game wasn't his strongest suit when he entered the league in 2006. He averaged as low as 3.2 assists in his rookie year. But when he reached his prime, especially when he went to the Raptors, Lowry slowly developed into a court general and subsequently improved his passing numbers.
