After missing the previous four games due to a thigh injury, Toronto Raptors All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry will play Saturday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Raptors head coach Nick Nurse told reporters before the game he is surprised Kyle Lowry is playing, but that the rugged guard “was aggressively treated” this week.

In 29 games this season for Toronto, Kyle Lowry is averaging 14.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 10.0 assists per game. The four-time All-Star is shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 33.0 percent from beyond the arc and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Raptors have the best record in the NBA at 25-9. They are coming off a blowout win on Friday at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard won't play Saturday versus the Sixers, as he is still not playing in back-to-backs. Lowry's return to the lineup is huge since the Sixers are one of the best teams in the East.

Kyle Lowry last played on Dec. 12 against the Golden State Warriors. He finished with 23 points, 12 assists and five rebounds in the Raptors' win at Golden State. Lowry has 12 double-doubles on the season and one triple-double as well.

Ben Simmons versus Kyle Lowry should be a fun matchup. The two stars got testy with each other last year in Philly.
