Raptors star Kyle Lowry has been nearly nullified by the Milwaukee Bucks in this past regular season, and while he's well aware of his struggles against this Eastern Conference Finals opponent, he won't make much of what transpired earlier in the season.

Lowry scored an average of 6.3 points per game in three meetings against the Bucks this season, shooting a baffling 23.3% from the field and a ghastly 5% from beyond the arc — numbers that simply won't cut it this time around.

“I just haven't played well (against Milwaukee),” said Lowry, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN. “That one game they forced (the ball out of my hands), I think Serge shot like 20-something times and that was their game plan. The other couple I just didn't play well. But that stuff doesn't matter, that's regular season”

The Raptors point man also averaged four turnovers per game against more physical point guards like Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and Malcolm Brogdon — three faces he's sure to see again throughout this series.

Lowry has been demonized by his subpar play in the postseason, but he has a chance to re-write the script by reaching the NBA Finals with this new core around him. However, it will take for Lowry to shoot much better than he has against this long and physical Bucks team in the recent past to make that narrative go away.

The Bucks have capable defenders in every area of their roster, but Lowry must rise to the occasion and provide some much-needed scoring against the best defensive team in the league to prove his worth and leave tales of his shortcomings behind once and for all.
