Marc Gasol made his Toronto Raptors debut on Saturday against the New York Knicks, and it didn't take long for the three-time All-Star to score his first basket as a member of the Raptors.
Gasol came off the bench versus New York, as Raptors head coach Nick Nurse wants to ease him into the team. Off of a nice pass from Toronto guard Norman Powell, Marc Gasol used his soft touch to score from the paint.
The Raptors are already one of the best teams in the NBA, and now they've added a player in Gasol who is a walking double-double and one of the best big man passers in league history. The rich really do get richer in the NBA.
Article Continues BelowGasol entered Saturday averaging 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 34.4 percent from beyond the arc, and 75.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Toronto has a great chance at making the NBA Finals this season for the first time in franchise history. A Big Three of Kawhi Leonard, Marc Gasol, and Kyle Lowry figures to do damage once the three stars get comfortable with each other on the basketball floor.
Gasol will likely start in the next game.
