The Utah Jazz have gotten off to a successful 3-1 start to the season, but newcomer Mike Conley has struggled in his first few games in a new uniform. Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, who will face the Jazz on Wednesday, noted it's only a matter of time before Conley becomes more comfortable with his surroundings and gets into a groove.
Of course, Rivers would prefer Conley holds off on doing that for at least one more game:
“Now everything is new for him. He’s playing, as I say, home-road games for a while,” said Rivers, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon. “Eventually, Utah will be home for him, and he’ll be back to being Mike Conley. Tell him to take his time. At least one more night.”
Conley is shooting 20% from the field in his first four games with the team, struggling to find a rhythm with the Jazz after being traded at the beginning of the summer.

Conley is averaging a squalid 7.8 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 rebounds — numbers that fall well short of the expectations set forward for this team after acquiring other quality veterans like Bojan Bogdanovic, Ed Davis, and Jeff Green in the offseason.
Rivers has seen it all during his long coaching career, and his experience as a former NBA player also plays a part in his gut feeling that Conley will eventually find himself right at home after he shakes off the early-season rust.
