Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward may have moved on to a new team this offseason, but that doesn't mean he has severed his connections in Utah.
In fact, Hayward reconnected with a special person recently and it meant the world to him and his family.
That would be little J.P. Gibson, a five-year-old Utah Jazz fan who loves Hayward and was diagnosed with cancer for the second time.
Gibson first met Hayward in 2014 where he signed an official one-day contract with the Jazz. He was introduced at the media podium holding up his jersey and was able to scrimmage with the team, capping off the session with a dunk from a pass thrown by Jeremy Evans.

Hayward didn't forget his former teammate and sent him a gift for his stay in the hospital, which was greatly appreciated.
