Utah Jazz shooting guard Alec Burks is reportedly 100 percent ready for training camp after sustaining a multitude of knee injuries during the past three seasons of his six-year NBA career, according to Tony Jones of The Salt Lake Tribune. The bruising guard should enter training camp with no restrictions as of today.

Burks has struggled to keep a clean bill of health since 2014, starting in only 30 of 100 combined games played ever since.

An athletically-gifted shooting guard, the 26-year-old has only shot 40 percent since suffering multiple knee injuries, making it very difficult for him to regain his explosiveness and physical game.

The University of Colorado standout averaged only 6.7 points per game while playing only 15.5 minutes per game through 42 appearances.

If Burks can get back to his pre-injury self, he can potentially challenge for the starting shooting guard spot or a sixth man role, depending on how young Rodney Hood performs starting this season. The latter has recently engaged in extension talks with the Jazz, while Burks is still under contract for another two years, with the opportunity to test free agency at the end of this season.

The 6-foot-6 slasher averaged a career-high 14 points per game on 45.7 percent shooting from the floor in 2013-14, where he saw 12 starts on 78 appearances.
