NBA players surely cannot avoid criticism from fans and the media. Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell is one of them as he has been criticized this season amid the team's sluggish start. An article on SB Nation was recently published with this headline: “The Jazz have a Donovan Mitchell problem.”

The second-year man has assumed leadership for the Jazz, but still they have not yet had the success they were hoping for. The article stated that Mitchell was taking a bigger workload despite shooting less efficiently this season.

But as noted on Reddit, ever since that article was released on Nov. 25, Donovan Mitchell has been better. Answering back with outstanding performances is the best way to respond to criticism.

Mitchell missed the first two games after the article was published, but then he came back and scored 29 points against the Brooklyn Nets and added a 30-point performance versus the Charlotte Hornets.

Above all, Mitchell led his team to much-needed wins in those outings. Now, the Jazz have ascended to 10th place in the Western Conference with an 11-12 record.

The Louisville product also improved his productivity in those two wins as he recorded 11 rebounds, seven assists and five steals as well.

The Jazz are looking to find their form from the previous season. They finished 48-34 and reached the conference semifinals before being eliminated by the top-seeded Houston Rockets.

Mitchell was a breakout star last season after getting drafted 13th, and he shined in his rookie season with 20.5 points per game.

Will the Jazz's streak continue? We'll find out, but what's for sure is Donovan Mitchell is capable of delivering impressive performances for this squad. Not to mention Kyle Korver's addition to the lineup should help boost their offense.
