Sophomore forward Donovan Mitchell is having a career year as the leader of the Utah Jazz. He's currently averaging 22.8 points, four rebounds, and four assists as the team continues to strengthen their hold in one of the Western Conference's final playoff spots. They are currently sixth in the standings with a 33-26 record.

However, it seems that there's one low key point in Mitchell's game that he needs to work on.

Mitchell's struggles from the painted area can be attributed to the fact that he often attacks the basket, and as a second year player, veterans in the league are still able to predict how he's going to attack the basket, making it easier for them to contest his shots.

At the moment, Mitchell makes up for that by improving on his mid-range game. Jumpers are usually one of his main offensive weapons, as he's currently shooting 42 percent this season. However, his 3-point shooting is still something that he needs to continuously work on, as he's only been able to make 32 percent of his shots.

If Mitchell will be able to finish better down low, he will be a much more complete player, and if he's quite difficult to stop now, opposing teams will find it even harder to contain him once he develops an effective low-post offense.

With 23 games remaining, it is yet to be seen if Mitchell will be able to improve his game in time for the Jazz's postseason campaign.
