Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell is none too pleased his friend, Jamal Murray, coined his “Spiderman” nickname to describe another player.
Murray said Denver Nuggets players call Facundo Campazzo “Spiderman” because he fires off one-handed dimes as if he has the ball on a string.
Mitchell, who has gone by “Spida” pretty much since he came into the league, came with his own “unamused” GIF as a retort:

Murray and Mitchell served up plenty of humor in Orlando, where they joked about run-ins following playoff games and spoke about the long-standing friendship between the two.
The star guards also put on a clinic on the floor.
Article Continues BelowDonovan Mitchell and the Jazz took control of the series early, taking a 3-1 lead and seemingly steamrolling to the second round. Mitchell scored 57 points in a loss in Game 1, but dropped another 50-piece in a Game 4 victory that had the Jazz looking for all the world like a spoiler in the Western Conference.
But Jamal Murray and the Nuggets were far from out. The former Kentucky star poured in 42 points in Game 5 and scored 50 more in Game 6 to force a winner-take-all Game 7, which the Nuggets won.
The stat lines are pretty absurd, despite an ugly Game 7. Murray averaged 31.6 points, 6.3 assists and 5.6 rebounds while shooting over 53 percent from deep. Mitchell, meanwhile, averaged 36.3 points, 5.0 boards and 4.9 assists while shooting close to 52 percent from beyond the arc.
It was a battle for the ages, and one that defined the friendly but insanely intense competition between the two.
Jamal Murray apparently still has jokes for Donovan Mitchell, whom he almost certainly intended to provoke with the usage of the “Spiderman” moniker. These two will continue their friendly rivalry on the court this season as their respective teams battle for supremacy in the West.
