On Saturday night, Utah Jazz stud Donovan Mitchell hit two crucial free throws in the dying seconds of his team's matchup against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks. However, this did not come without any drama, with last season's Rookie of the Year runner-up missing both free throws just a few plays earlier.

According to Mitchell, he completely understood what was at stake, and the confidence his teammates had in him gave him the drive to make the clutch baskets:

“My teammates were saying, ‘We need you for these two free throws. Forget about what happened,'” Mitchell said, via ESPN. “When you have your teammates backing you like that, you feel confident.”

Mitchell was able to redeem himself with two makes from the charity stripe that pretty much iced the ballgame for the Jazz. They were eventually able to emerge victorious against the best team in the league right now with a final score of 115-111.

Mitchell was amazing all night long, as his 46-point outburst carried Utah to victory. The 22-year-old went 15-of-32 from the field, while also contributing five 3-pointers, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block in 39 minutes of action.

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo had an equally explosive performance with 43 points (on 15-of-26 shooting), 14 rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and a block.

Mitchell has established himself as the undisputed face of the Jazz franchise, and he has been absolutely pivotal in the team's success this season. With the complete backing of his teammates, the sky is definitely the limit for the 6-foot-3 shooting guard.
