The Utah Jazz have dealt with several injuries through the first half of this season. However, it sounds like there is a bit of good news on the horizon, as rookie shooting guard Grayson Allen is nearing a return from an ankle injury.
According to a report from Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune, Allen, who hasn't played since Dec. 12, is in the latter stage of his rehabilitation process. He was able to participate in some one-on-one drills during Monday's practice session and should be cleared for action soon:
Grayson Allen is getting closer to a return to play for the Jazz, sounds like he’ll be the first of the 5 injured guys to return. He’s in the later stages of recovery from a sprained ankle.

Allen, now 23 years of age, has made 17 appearances with the Jazz this season, racking up averages of 4.1 points on 32.3 percent shooting from the field and 26.8 percent from beyond the arc.
If Allen is indeed cleared for game action sooner rather than later, he'll likely find a spot in the rotation, as Ricky Rubio (hamstring), Dante Exum (ankle) and Thabo Sefolosha (hamstring) are all still out with their own ailments.
Though they've dealt with several injuries through the first half of this season, the Jazz are still holding a 20-21 overall record, which is currently good for the 10th spot in the Western Conference standings. Their next shot at claiming a victory comes on Wednesday night, when they'll welcome the Orlando Magic to town. Tip-off inside Vivint Smart Home Arena is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.
