Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson cashed in big with the Jazz this offseason after agreeing to a hefty $51 million deal to remain in Salt Lake City. Now he'll have to dip into his bank account after being fined $25,000 by the league for pushing a referee on Thursday.

After scoring a layup against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, Clarkson was able to rip the ball from Chris Paul as he gathered back on offense. While retreating with the ball, Clarkson collided with the referee that apparently wasn't watching where he was going. Though Clarkson had every right to be frustrated with the play, it didn't constitute the shove that ensued.

Clarkson was allowed to stay in the game at the time as the Jazz eventually fell to the Suns 106-95. He finished the game with 12 points while going 5-of-11 from the field. He also threw in five rebounds and a pair of assists through 19 minutes of playing time.

Clarkson was traded to the Jazz last season from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Dante Exum and a couple of second-round picks. He immediately thrived in his role off the bench, averaging 15.6 points per game through his 42 games with Utah. The Jazz decided to bank on what they'd already seen from the 6-foot-4 guard rather than test the waters of free agency.

Seeing as how Clarkson wasn't suspended for his actions, he'll get another shot at helping the Jazz improve their 2-2 record against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
