Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson was involved in a heated moment with a fan during Monday's 110-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs. At one point, it seemed like Clarkson was ready to go full Ron Artest during the infamous Malice at the Palace but, thankfully, cooler heads prevailed.

After the game, the Jazz stud opened up about the untoward incident with the Spurs fan. Apparently, the heckler was having a go at him the whole game. Clarkson snapped and attempted to approach the fan in the crowd. Fortunately for the 29-year-old combo guard, he quickly realized that he was about to make a major mistake:

“I can't go into the crowd. That guy won't lose anything. I'll lose money,” Clarkson said, via Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune. “That could go to my daughter. She could buy a Bugatti or something.”

Here's the Jazz star's complete response when asked to address the altercation:

While Clarkson did not reveal the specifics of the rowdy fan's message, it is clear that the heckler went over the line. True enough, security escorted him out of the building, and he's likely to be on the receiving end of some sort of ban.

As Clarkson said, however, it would have been much worse for him if he decided to make contact with the fan, so it's a good thing he came to his senses before it was too late.

The shorthanded Jazz emerged with a victory in this one, 110-104, with Clarkson leading the way with a game-high 23-point effort.
