It seems like Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert has got some interesting things on his mind lately.
Gobert went viral recently for this hilarious reply to a dedicated Utah Jazz fan, saying this:
“I’ve been waiting for this day.”
I’ve been waiting for this day. https://t.co/8uHjnHvR8a

This reply was to a Twitter user named @TweetsForGobert, who did exactly as his username advertised. For over two months, the Twitter user repeatedly tweeted at the Jazz center, vowing to do this until Gobert replied to him. Finally, the Jazz All-Star replied, and he did this on a pretty funny milestone.
Day 69 (nice) of tweeting Rudy Gobert until he responds or retweets @rudygobert27

Nice.
It's really funny that Gobert, one of the Jazz All-Stars, has a sense of humor similar to a lot of Twitter. Also, the implication of Gobert's tweet is that he saw this tweet chain a long time ago already. He merely just waited to hit the 69th (nice) day to reply. That's impressive dedication to a bit, and is something that makes the Jazz star so likable.
The Jazz are looking to come back to NBA title contention this year. They had an impressive regular season in 2020, but they unfortunately faltered once again in the Playoffs. They are counting on Gobert, star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell (who is poised to have a breakout season), Joe Ingles, and Jordan Clarkson to carry them to the promised land. It's not going to be easy, as they face a lot of stiff competition in the West.
However, at least Jazz fans have Gobert and his hilarious sense of humor to fall back on if they do lose.
