With the 2019 NBA Draft approaching, almost every team is jockeying for position on what is turning into a fluid and rapidly changing draft board. The Utah Jazz, fresh from a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, are no exception.
The Jazz recently traded their No.23 pick, along with a protected pick and three players (Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder) to the Grizzlies in exchange for veteran guard Mike Conley. With the trade, Utah was only left with the second-round pick — at No.53 — for the 2019 draft.
According to Tony Jones of The Athletic, however, the Jazz are looking at ways to move up in the draft using their late second-rounder.
The Jazz go into tomorrow night's NBA Draft with pick No. 53…However, they will be aggressive and seek opportunity to move up if it arises, league sources tell The Athletic. FYI, there's hasn't been a first round buy-in since the Jazz did it to acquire Rudy Gobert in 2013

Utah is undoubtedly looking to acquire a player who will have more of an immediate impact with the team, as they look to build a contender around Mitchell, Conley and presumptive Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert. Nonetheless, any move to trade up from their position could cost them another future pick.
It's also unlikely that they will be able to acquire a first-round pick considering the assets they have.
Surely though, Utah won’t be the only team looking to make moves, which means the draft is sure to entertain with the sheer number of trades.
