The Utah Jazz would reportedly have āa fighting chanceā to sign Tobias Harris this summer in free agency if the Philadelphia 76ers don't offer him a full five-year max contract, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic.
Harris becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Sixers acquired him at the February trade deadline from the Los Angeles Clippers. All indications are Philly wants to re-sign Harris, but the Sixers also want to keep Jimmy Butler, who will command max money as well.
The Jazz could swoop in and steal Harris from the Sixers if Philly doesn't offer the talented swingman a deal which he likes:

Harris is a 6-foot-9 combination forward who currently plays in Philadelphia. Heās someone who is dynamic on or off the basketball. He can shoot from the perimeter. He can score in a variety of ways. The Sixers hold his Bird Rights and can offer him a full five-year max contract. But, if they donāt, and Harris looks around, the Jazz would have at least a fighting chance, league sources tell The Athletic.
The Jazz need another dynamic scorer next to Donovan Mitchell. Harris fits that bill.
During the regular season, Harris averaged 20.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 39.7 percent from beyond the arc and 86.6 percent from the free-throw line.
