In the fourth quarter of Game 7 between the Utah Jazz and the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic drove aggressively to the hoop to respond to the Jazz's scoring run. But defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert had other ideas.

Peep the clip below to see Rudy Gobert's critical block on Jokic. Though Gobert bit on Jokic's initial pump fake, the Frenchman never let up and stayed close to Jokic. And as he's done many times before, he perfectly anticipated Jokic's lay-up and swatted it.

On the offensive end, Gobert kept his intensity by grabbing the offensive rebound and drawing the foul. As observed, the Jazz bench was thrilled and pumped by Gobert's stellar sequence on both ends of the floor.

It was a much-needed boost as the Jazz were on a massive run. Gobert certainly proved why he's one of the most important players on his team.
