The Utah Jazz immediately got back on the right track a day after they absorbed a disappointing loss against the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. When asked about their performance in crunch time against the Toronto Raptors, Jazz center Rudy Gobert tried to put on his funny guy pants as his squad successfully carved a narrow win over their opponents on Saturday night, via Eric Walden.

You need to come out with stronger material, Rudy. Hopefully he develops his comedic chops to mimic his shot-blocking instincts – effective and perfectly-timed.

On a more serious note, the Frenchman claimed that they fought for the victory as they refused to lose two consecutive games, especially in the latter stage of the regular season.

Rolling on a two-game losing skid, the Raptors entered the matchup as the clear underdog but they still managed to put up a fight against a more loaded Jazz squad. Toronto got to stick around with their opponents through the first three quarters of the game but was eventually outscored by Utah, 21-13, in the final frame.

Head coach Quin Snyder and his team held their ground as they escaped with a 106-102 win on their home floor. Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic led the way with 34 points while Gobert added a double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds for the team.

With the victory, the Jazz managed to get back on the top spot of the Western Conference with a 46-18 record. Seemingly enough, Gobert and his teammates were able to learn from the many errors that they committed on both ends of the floor against the Suns last Friday night.

Despite being able to regain the No. 1 seed in the West, the Jazz still has to gain enough consistency as they head towards the postseason. Hopefully, by then, they can already play stronger and execute better as they are expected to vie for a long playoff run this season.
