While it is not the easiest of tasks, Kevin Durant continues asking to defend LeBron James every time their teams meet.
That was what head coach Steve Kerr recently revealed, via Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area, as he shared that his star forward is the one who asks him to give the assignment of guarding The King. Despite being prone to foul trouble, and getting tired on the defensive end, Durant is taking it as a challenge, and will do anything to help his team win.

The reigning Finals MVP did a good job on Monday night, as he limited James' production to only 20 points, six rebounds and six assists, and led the Warriors to a 99-92 win. The victory also allowed the Dubs to avenge their Christmas Day loss to the Cavs last year, and sent a message to them that they are more than ready to defend the title they won last season.
Should they meet again in the Finals, Kerr and his staff will definitely have one less worry, knowing that the All-Star forward will not back down on defending the Cleveland Cavaliers' best player. Not many may look forward to it, but in order to be a great, Durant knows he needs to outplay one, which explains why he asks his coach to assign the unenviable task to him.
