In his 11th season, Kevin Durant has already established himself among his peers as one of the best players in the league.
Following Monday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Durant voiced that he believes he is not yet the player he wants to be at this point in his career, according to Connor Letourneau of SFGate.com.
Durant on his evolution as a player: “I’m getting close to where I want to be, but I’m not quite there yet.”

The 29-year-old is a uniquely talented player at nearly seven feet that is a gifted offensive player that only further honed in on his defensive skills over the last two seasons with the Warriors. He has shown to be an elite rim protector averaging a career-high 2.2 blocks a game entering Monday's contest, which is second-best in the NBA this year.
This improved play defensively has put him in the early conversation to possibly earn Defensive Player of the Year. With Stephen Curry sidelined with an ankle injury, he has put on display his playmaking ability as well.
Given all of that, it's remarkable that Durant still believes that he has much more room to grow as a player. This is the type of mindset that has helped separate him as one of the game's elite players. Simply put, he is in the prime of his career that could see him achieve much more at both an individual and team level over the next several years.
