To no surprise, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes. Curry rolled his surgically-repaired right ankle by stepping on E'Twaun Moore's foot going for a steal with 57 seconds left in the fourth quarter of a 125-115 win over the New Orleans Pelicans last night.

Curry's ankle roll was a nasty-looking one and it comes to no surprise that the Warriors are playing this very carefully, still awaiting an official diagnosis on the injury after an MRI performed this morning. The former MVP was also dealing with a right hand contusion, which he played through the last four games with a hand-wrap.

Golden State has been mired by injuries as of late, having to sit out the likes of Curry, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, and most-recently center Zaza Pachulia, who missed his first game of the season against the Pelicans.

The Warriors are now dealing with a royal investment in their $201 million supermax man — a much more delicate situation, given his chronic ankle issues early in his NBA career. Curry has managed to keep a clean bill of health through the last five seasons, missing no more than four games through each of his last campaigns.
