The possibility of seeing Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant in a different uniform has started to swarm the Bay Area, as the two-time Finals MVP signed yet another one-and-one deal to keep his flexibility coming into the 2019 free agency period. A stint with the New York Knicks due to the ties to his manager and partner Rich Kleiman recently stirred controversy, but even some longtime scribes believe there is palpable reason to believe he could bolt for The Big Apple.
Ethan Strauss of The Athletic was asked over a Q&A if this Durant scenario would be similarly unavoidable like LeBron James going to the Los Angeles Lakers this summer.

He still seems to care so much about public opinion and have insecurities and this would be change to try and escape all the negative banter. Between him having chance to have his own team, Madison Square Garden, and Rich Klienman’s Knicks connections, I feel like this is similar to Lebron to LA.
Strauss: “No clue of the percentage, but it's a distinct possibility.”
Most reporters have shot down the idea of Durant joining James in L.A. and one would think that if a reunion with the Oklahoma City Thunder were to happen, there would need to be more time for healing and mending that relationship.
A move to the Knicks ultimately makes sense due to the connections from his manager, a native New Yorker who is a lifelong fans and even intends to run the franchise someday.
Only question remains — when does Durant get tired of winning with the Warriors? Or does he at all?
