The Golden State Warriors will be heading into the offseason as they were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs. Some would say the Warriors didn't have a real chance to compete with Stephen Curry sidelined, but a hamstring injury shouldn't be taken lightly. Now, the Warriors will go into the offseason hoping to improve their team, and there will be many rumors surrounding them and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With Antetokounmpo possibly exploring other options this offseason, there's a chance that the Warriors could be interested, but as of now, things are quiet according to The Athletic.
“There are no early indications that the Warriors will be at the front of the line of the yet-to-materialize Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, league sources said. As they enter the summer, team sources said, the internal plan and conversation is about how to best reform the role players around the Curry and Butler duo, not chase another star,” The Athletic wrote.

It would take a lot of pieces for the Warriors to try and acquire Antetokounmpo, but if you could get a star of his caliber, you try anything you can. The only problem is that trading for Antetokounmpo could leave teams to gut most of their roster, and there won't be many key pieces left.
That's why it might be best for the Warriors to build around Curry and Jimmy Butler, which shouldn't cost them much. They made it to the second round with the team they have now, and things could have been different in their series against the Timberwolves if Curry were healthy.
Antetokounmpo will receive a lot of interest if the Bucks decide to trade him, and if the Warriors are one of those teams, it would not be a surprise. Antetokounmpo is still one of the best players in the league and can help any team he goes to.
