College basketball is back, and it has not disappointed early on! Cade Cunningham and Oklahoma State faced off against Wichita State on Saturday, with the two teams playing back and forth that created a suspenseful and exciting end to the game.

Tied at 64 with time running out, Cunningham came clutch and knocked down a game winning three to seal the deal. The Cowboys went on to win the game 67-64.

College basketball phenom Cade Cunningham is the projected first overall pick going into 2021, and he continues to prove why.

Cunningham is a 6-foot-8 point guard who can do it all. He sees the floor like a floor general, but has the size of a small forward. He can also beat his defender off the dribble right to the basket or create separation to get off a clean jump shot.

Against Wichita State, Cunningham only finished with 10 points, but his clutch shooting made up for his lack of production on the scoresheet.

In five games this college basketball season (prior to the game versus Wichita State), Cunningham was averaging 20.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. What's even more impressive about his stats is his efficiency.

Cunningham is shooting 50.o percent from the field, 47.1 percent from deep and 86.2 from the free throw line. In terms of advanced stats, Cunningham has a PER of 26 and a true shooting percentage of 61.5 percent. To put that into perspective, he would rank higher than LeBron James, Zion Williamson and Nikola Jokic in PER, and have a true shooting percentage higher than Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis and Chris Paul. Those are crazy impressive numbers from a freshman.

Cunningham certainly looks NBA ready at 19. His potential also puts him in elite company. Keep an eye on him this college basketball season with Oklahoma State as he continues to make his case for the top prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft.
