The Rhode Island Rams plan on its run of excellence to go beyond the few year stretch of greatness it is currently on. To help this happen, the announcement by 4-star talent Jermaine Harris that he will play for the Rams in college, couldn't have come at a better time.
A member of the 2018 recruiting class, Jermaine Harris made his announcement on the mean streets of Twitter.

Rhode Island won its conference tournament last season en route to claiming the Atlantic 10 Title before earning a No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Rams would upset No. 6 seeded Creighton Bluejays in the Midwest Region before falling to No. 3 seeded Oregon Ducks in the Round of 32. They finished the year 25-9 in head coach Dan Hurley’s fifth season at the helm.
After starting his head coaching career with Wagner, and building the Rhode Island program, Hurley aided the Rams in making the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time since the 1998-99 campaign.
Getting someone like Harris should partially offset some giant losses Rhode Island will have when players like E.C. Matthews exhausts their eligibility. Hurley believes Matthews to be one of the country's best guards.
“I expect a guy that’s on a mission,” Hurley said of Matthews on Jon Rothstein's podcast. “I expect him to be one of the best guards in college basketball next year. I expect him to be a guy that’s committed on both ends of the floor and efficient on both ends of the floor. He played some of the best basketball he’s ever played in the Atlantic 10 Tournament and the NCAA Tournament and I fully expect that to continue.”
Anyway, college basketball is almost here.
