People are constantly talking about the NFL's ratings these days. For whatever the reason, and everyone has their own opinion as to why, the numbers have dipped. For college football, however, that discussion has yet to leak to the sport.
That might change now, though that conversion may appear slightly different.
The Iowa Hawkeyes are struggling at the moment. Not so much on the field, but with filling its stadium prior to a home game against Penn State. Not only is a sellout looking unlikely, but there's roughly 4,000 tickets left unsold.
There's more to this than it just being about fans not wanting to go see come college football.

People are still unsure when the game will kick. That uncertainty certainly plays a factor, as it would be rather difficult to plan your Saturday around a game while not knowing what time you have to leave your house. Furthermore, what time you would be arriving home.
This might be all resolved by the time Saturday hits. There might only be a few days left until kick, but the school might pivot on some of the prices or fans might begin to purchase in bulk as we get closer to the weekend.
