With selection Sunday coming next Sunday, teams across college basketball are doing everything they can to punch their ticket to the dance. Following a victory on Sunday over Drake, the Loyola Ramblers have clinched a spot in the NCAA tournament, meaning that there could be a Sister Jean sighting.

After their win over Drake, Loyola Chicago improved to 25-4 on the season, and it gives them a 17-2 conference record in the Missouri Valley Conference. As for Drake, their loss on Sunday handed them a 25-5 record on the season, but they won't be taking part in the NCAA tournament later this month.

During Sunday's victory, it was Cameron Krutwig of Loyola Chicago that led them to a win with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Due to his stat-stuffing performance against Drake, Krutwig became just the fourth player in the Missouri Valley Conference to post 1,500 points, 800 rebounds, and 300 assists in his collegiate career. The other three guys are Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, and Hersey Hawkins.

The last time that Loyola Chicago made the NCAA tournament was back in 2018. Loyola Chicago made it into the tournament as a No. 11 seed and were able to create some heroics en route to a bid in the Final Four. Before losing to Michigan in the Final Four, Loyola Chicago upset Miami, Tennessee, Nevada, and Kansas State.

With the team having success in 2018, Sister Jean made an appearance and became a fan-favorite during the tournament. Despite having a different roster, Loyola Chicago is hoping to put together another special run in the tournament after earning their spot on Sunday.
