Brooklyn honors Biggie Smalls with City Edition jerseys
The Brooklyn Nets will honor rapper Biggie Smalls with their new city edition jerseys.
According to a report, the Nets city edition jersey is designed after Smalls famous sweaters — Coogi sweaters. The trim on the jersey is the same design as his sweatshirts. The Notorious B.I.G. jerseys will officially be revealed in November.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are doing something similar, as they are honoring Prince with their purple city edition jerseys.
The jersey designs seem to being more creative by Nike and the NBA. We’ve been seeing new jerseys getting leaked, so, it is possible these may leak well before they will officially be revealed.
Biggie Smalls has won two BET Awards, one MTV Video Music Awards and one Soul Train Music Awards. He also has won four The Source Awards. He also has been nominated for four Grammy Awards. In total, he has won four awards total, and has 11 nominations total.
It will be interesting to see what the players reactions will be to the new jerseys. What I love about these jerseys is they are creative and honoring music legends. It will be interesting to see what other teams in the league come up with for their city edition jerseys.
It is pretty cool to see Nike and the NBA incorporating the hip-hop and pop culture into these jersey designs and honoring the music legends.
It is not known when the Nets will be wearing these jersey. Most teams have a jersey tracker schedule on their website, but the Nets do not have one to see what jersey the squad will be wearing for a specific game.
