Caris LeVert of the Brooklyn Nets is looking forward to the upcoming season with his new-look squad.

LeVert, the 20th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, will enter his fourth year in the league with superstars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and DeAndre Jordan as teammates. He's aware that they've gotten a lot better with the additions. But he also knows that there will be great challenges ahead and he's ready for what the 2019-20 season will bring.

“That's the goal,” LeVert said of competing for a title, per Bill Bender of Sporting News. “When you get guys like KD, Kyrie and DeAndre, expectations rise. We're looking forward to that. We've been working for that. I think everybody loves playing on a big stage. We're definitely looking forward to this year and the challenges it's going to bring.”

Last season, LeVert averaged a career-high 13.7 points, along with 3.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. Due to a right leg injury in November, the 25-year-old played just 40 games (25 starts) in the regular season. However, come the postseason, he played all five games and averaged an impressive 21 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

His performance marked his place in the Nets team as a critical piece. And the Nets made sure that LeVert will stay with them as they embark on that elusive Larry O'Brien trophy. Recently, both parties agreed to a contract extension worth $52.5 million for three years. As such, Nets fans shouldn't just keep their eyes peeled at its new stars. LeVert is capable of having a breakout season, too.
