The Brooklyn Nets have become one of the most talked-about teams in recent memory due to their superstar talent, but it wasn't too long ago that we saw another team with three future MVPs. Back in 2012, there was the young Oklahoma City Thunder team with Russell Westbrook, an emerging Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, and sixth man James Harden.

The Thunder lost in five games to the dominant Miami Heat team in the NBA Finals. They simply did not have enough playoff experience to match the Heat's veteran core.

Fast forward to the present, and the Brooklyn Nets find themselves with two of those OKC superstars as the focal points of their team.

Are things different now? James Harden seems to think so.

Both Harden and Durant know what they want and that's to compete for a championship with the Nets. Neither of the two superstars has anything to prove when it comes to their worth as a player.

Both Harden and Durant have had multiple scoring titles, and each has won an MVP. There is no doubt that these guys can play.

When it comes to playoff success, however, both of these guys have something to prove.
