Brooklyn Nets big man Jarrett Allen wants to take his game to the next level, and if there's one player in the NBA he'd like to emulate, it's Detroit Pistons' Blake Griffin, as a teammate of DeAndre Jordan.

Allen said that he and Griffin have a couple of similarities and that's one of the reasons why he'd like to pattern his game after him, per Brian Lewis of the NY Post.

“We both want to play and we both like dunking the ball. I already saw on Twitter the new Lob City. I don’t know if I’m at the Blake Griffin level, [but] we both want to be out there and play our hardest.”

Griffin has a top rebounder and defender on his side with the Pistons, and that's Andre Drummond. Allen feels that he and veteran center DeAndre Jordan can be a similar tandem for the Nets.

“I think so. How we’re playing right now — as a unit, not only me and DeAndre, but everybody else is playing — I think it’s more to come.”

The Nets have won seven of their last ten games, and Allen is one of the main reasons why. He's putting up 12.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks this season. He may not be as athletic as Griffin, but he's pretty confident that he has what it takes to be one of the best big men in the league.

There's no question that Allen has a tremendous amount of potential, and he's a valuable member of the Nets roster. But only time will tell if he can be on the same level as Griffin.
