Brooklyn Nets star small forward Kevin Durant stopped by Team USA practice on Thursday in El Segundo, California. The two-time Finals MVP was wearing a brace to stabilize his leg and had a boot on his foot.

Durant, who is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear, had a funny name for his boot:

It's great to see Kevin Durant in good spirits. The Achilles injury he suffered in the Finals was devastating and it's likely going to rob Nets and basketball fans a full year of watching Durant play.

Kevin Durant is 6-foot-9 and can shoot over anyone from anywhere on the court. The new Nets star doesn’t rely on speed or athleticism to score the basketball, so he’s still going to be an unstoppable scorer when he returns.

Durant, 30, has career averages of 27.0 points. He's a four-time scoring champion and one of the most lethal scorers this game has ever seen. The 10-time All-Star signed a four-year deal with the Nets this summer as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors. Durant said last week he was always going to sign with the Nets if he left the Warriors.

Basketball fans can't wait for Kevin Durant to play again. For now, though, KD has to focus on his rehab and not skip any steps.
