The Brooklyn Nets were on the brink of what would have been their second win in two nights on Monday against the Chicago Bulls. Unfortunately for them, the Nets suffered a monumental collapse in the fourth period as they let Chicago outscore them 42-17 in the final frame. The game ended with a final score of 118-95, and Brooklyn star Kevin Durant was not at all happy with his team's performance on the evening.

After the game, KD got brutally honest as he shared his thoughts on the Nets' defeat against the Bulls. Durant stopped short of pretty much blasting his team for a truly disappointing fourth-quarter effort:

“We coulda drove more, coulda made more 3s, we coulda did everything better,” Durant said, via Dave Early of ClutchPoints. “…I like where we were for 3 quarters of this game, we just couldn’t finish it out. But we coulda did pretty much everything better.”

It is worth noting that the Nets were coming off a 116-103 win in Toronto on Sunday night. It was a quick turnaround for Durant and Co. as they travelled to Chicago to face the Bulls in a back-to-back set. It looks like Brooklyn ran out of gas in the final frame as they let the Bulls manhandle them in the fourth quarter.

The good news for the Nets is that they get the day off on Tuesday. However, they return to action on Wednesday to face off against the Orlando Magic. Brooklyn has three more games remaining in this six-game road spell. After the Magic on Wednesday, KD and Co. will go to battle against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday before concluding their road trip against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
