Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant etched his name in history books on Monday night. He became just the fourth player to score 20 or more points in each of his first 14 games with a team, via NBA History on Twitter.

He now joins an elite club composed of Wilt Chamberlain who did it in his first 56 games with the then-San Francisco Warriors back in the 1959 season. Adrian Dantley comes in second after achieving the feat in his first 20 tilts with the Utah Jazz back in 1979. Dominique Wilkins is closely trailing behind in third place after doing it in his first 19 outings with the Los Angeles Clippers back in the 1994 season.

In their game against the Miami Heat on Monday night, Durant managed to score exactly 20 points to join the list. He also grabbed 13 rebounds and five assists for the Nets.

James Harden also came out with 20 points of his own along with four rebounds and eight assists. Kyrie Irving added 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists for the team.

It took a collaborative effort from the Nets with six players scoring in double digits in order to create separation from a gritty Heat squad. The Nets eventually managed to hold their ground on both ends of the floor as they emerged victorious on a 98-85 win.

The Nets now improved to an 11-8 record for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference. Through 14 games, Durant is currently averaging 30.4 points on 51.8% shooting from the field, along with 7.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists for his team.

Brooklyn will lean on Kevin Durant's production once again as they aim for their third consecutive victory against the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 27.
