For the first time since the 2013-14 season, the Brooklyn Nets have won 40 games in a season. The Nets earned their 40th win of the 2018-19 campaign on Saturday after they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks.
Brooklyn is now 40-40 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Brooklyn has 40 wins for the first time since the 2013-14 season. Nets are 19-9 in games decided by 5 points or less. D'Angelo Russell had 25 points & 10 assists. Caris LeVert had 24 points off the bench & has found his groove. Jared Dudley matched his season-high with 16 points.

The Nets are so close to clinching a playoff spot for the first time since 2015. Head coach Kenny Atkinson has this team playing really well and players believing in each other.
D'Angelo Russell made his first All-Star team this season and it was well-deserved. The lefty leads the Nets in scoring and is establishing himself as one of the top young point guards in the NBA. Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers are probably regretting trading Russell in the summer of 2017 right about now.
Brooklyn was projected to win 38 games this season by a lot of experts. They have already surpassed expectations and there's still a few games left in the regular season. No wonder Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said he would like to see Atkinson win the Coach of the Year award.
The Nets only won 28 games last season. The job Atkinson and his staff have done with this group has been spectacular.
